The real sand dunes or deserts are 40 km away from Jaisalmer city. We have to drive by a four-wheel drive jeep for at least one hour drive to reach the real patches of sand dunes in the Thar Desert. Afternoon safaris depart at 2.00 pm during the winter months (October-March). Departure times are adjusted seasonally during the summer months according to local weather conditions.
Sunset Safari - (Min. 2 person)
At approximately 2:00 pm you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will visit Kuldhara, an abandoned village in the Thar Desert or Khaba village Then you will travel to sand dunes. Here you will take the camel ride into the desert until sunset. You can enjoy the sunset with chai and snacks. You will then return by jeep to Jaisalmer.

At approximately 2:00 pm you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will visit Kuldhara, an abandoned village in the Thar Desert or Khaba village. Then you will travel to sand dunes. Here you will take the camels and ride into the desert until sunset. You can enjoy the sunset with chai or and snacks. After that, our staff will cook vegetarian Indian food for you in the desert on a wood fire. You can enjoy the dinner by the campfire and then return by jeep to Jaisalmer.

Overnight safari - (Min. 2 person)
At approximately 2:00 pm you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will visit Kuldhara, an abandoned village in the Thar Desert or Khaba village. Then you will travel to sand dunes. Here you will take the camel ride into the desert until sunset. After sunset, dinner will be prepared and you will relax on the dunes next to a camp fire (depending on weather). You will sleep overnight in the desert under the stars either on a blanket on the sand or on a four post cot/bed. The next morning after breakfast you can have another camel ride and then will return by jeep to Jaisalmer around 10 am.
